Manuel Manrique, PhD, LP
Director

Dr. Manrique received his Master’s degree and Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. He specializes in adult therapy for anxiety, depression, and personality disorders. He is also trained in child psychology, neuropsychology, and substance abuse. Dr. Manrique is a former professor at University of Michigan-Dearborn, taught at Wayne State University, is affiliated with The Michigan Analytic Institute, and is a published researcher.

Sahar Al-Tweej, MA, TLLP

Sahar received her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Wayne State University. She has experience working with adults and children from various backgrounds. Her passion lies in helping those who struggle with mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, ADHD, trauma, OCD, and family issues, and in providing couples therapy. She approaches therapy with a holistic and integrative perspective, aiming to create a safe environment for each client's growth. ​​
Laura Beydoun, LMSW

Laura is a fully licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years of therapeutic experience. She specializes in working with adults who suffer from depression, anxiety, social issues, and family problems. In addition, she helps individuals work on their spiritual growth through reflection and self awareness. Laura is passionate about helping clients move and grow towards a better future.

Shauntai Davis-Yeargen, MS, LLPC

Shauntai has a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and has over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. Her clients appreciate her openness, empathy, and dedication to assist with life’s obstacles, such as mental illness, emotional disturbance, abnormal behavior, and substance abuse. She provides individual and couples therapy and develops each client's treatment to provide a custom fit for their own therapeutic process. Shauntai knows how difficult it can be to ask for help and guidance from someone in challenging times, but she is committed to helping clients conquer their worries, depression, emotional issues, relationship concerns, and addictions. She works out of the Dearborn and Livonia locations.

Lina Darwish, MA, LLP
Lina received her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Couples and Family Therapy from Wayne State University. Her therapeutic focus includes working with individuals who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflicts, mood disorders and other mental health conditions. She is interested in working with young adults struggling with issues related to adjusting to various life changes. Lina uses an integrative approach to therapy, tailoring her therapy to meet individual client needs. She is not taking new clients at this time.

Hillary Easton, MS, LLP
Hillary completed her Master's degree in Clinical Health Psychology from the University of Michigan - Dearborn. She provides therapeutic services via a variety of modalities for adults who may be suffering from depression, anxiety, distress in interpersonal relationships, sexual dysfunction and OCD. Hillary creates a safe, non-judgemental and relaxed space, where she helps clients explore their presenting concerns, find healing, and learn the skills to lead healthier and more adaptive lives. Her approach to treatment is tailored to each individual client's needs and therapeutic goals. She works out of the Dearborn and Ferndale locations.

Kathleen Prahler Eisel, LLMSW, CRC

Kathleen has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work as a Generalist Practitioner and a
master’s degree in Occupational Social Work from Wayne State University. Kathleen has
twenty years of counseling experience working with young adults and adults who have been
disenfranchised and/or injured. She also has experience working with post-
traumatic stress disorder, substance use disorders, adult children of alcoholics, and victims of
crime. It is her belief that by redirecting focus a person can get through a trauma or life-altering experience, and can accomplish amazing things for themselves - more than they ever thought possible. Kathleen works out of the Dearborn location.

Cheryl Erdman, MA, LLP

Cheryl holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Moody Theological Seminary. She is Gottman Level 1 and 2 certified for couples therapy and facilitates community care groups for step-family couples. Her background includes work with individuals with depression, anxiety, grief, and relationship difficulties, among other mental health related concerns. She is especially passionate about helping couples and families work through the special challenges of step-/blended-family life. Most importantly, she is dedicated to helping her clients achieve personal growth and healing, and the restoration and flourishing of once troubled relationships. She works out of the Dearborn and Plymouth locations.
Jordan Grant, MA, LLP
Jordan received her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on Couples and Family therapy from Wayne State University. She has experience working with individuals, families and couples of various ages and backgrounds. Her therapeutic focus is on those who struggle with anything from general life or relationship stress and anxiety to depression. Jordan has a passion for supporting and helping individuals gain confidence and self growth by providing a nurturing and collaborative environment.​​

Brian Kitson, MA, LLP

Brian received his Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Couples and Family therapy from Wayne State University. With his emphasis in Couples and Family therapy, he is adept in working with individuals at any age or in any stage of their lives. His therapeutic focus is with individuals who may be struggling with depression and anxiety, specifically in the LGBTQ community. Brian uses an eclectic approach to therapy, allowing for therapy to form and adapt to the individual’s needs and wishes for therapy. He sees clients at the Dearborn and Ferndale locations.​​

Ashlee has a Master’s degree in Psychology/Health. She specializes in academic underachievement, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, anxiety, and developmental/behavioral issues. She works out of the Dearborn and Plymouth locations. She is not accepting new clients at this time.

Zeinab Mouzannar, MA, TLLP
Zeinab received her Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Wayne State University. She has experience working with individuals and children of various backgrounds. She combines different therapeutic approaches to create an environment to help enrich healthy perceptions and relationships. Zeinab is involved in working with body image issues, family therapy, and couples therapy as well as minority populations. She also administers psychological evaluations and assessments. Zeinab speaks Arabic and is currently taking clients in the Dearborn and Plymouth locations.

Jill Norbury-Jaranson, PsyD, LLP

Jill Norbury-Jaranson has strong empathy and an ability to quickly assess and narrow treatment focus for maximum potential gain. She is a Limited License Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience in psychological assessment, sexual offender risk assessment, military veteran compensation and pension evaluations, and therapeutic goal development. In addition, Jill supervises several interns at a non-profit agency and has been an international conference speaker and research presenter. She has a passion for helping individuals and families find and integrate healthy perceptions, strengthen relationships, and grow through traumatic/stressful experiences. She sees clients in Dearborn. She is not accepting new clients at this time.

Layla Obad, MS, TLLP

Layla received her Master's degree in Clinical Health Psychology from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Her therapeutic focus centers on supporting children dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, and related challenges. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), and various other therapeutic modalities. With a passion for understanding young minds, Layla also specializes in psychological assessments, including evaluating children for ADHD, behavioral issues, personality traits, and more. Her approach combines empathy, evidence-based techniques, and a commitment to fostering positive mental health outcomes in her young clients. ​​
Dr. Brenda O'Brien, MS, MA, LPC, PhD

Brenda holds master's degrees from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and her doctorate in counseling from Wayne State University. She has great compassion in helping adult clients find solutions to their immediate problems that are preventing happiness and daily functioning. She uses multiple therapeutic approaches to find the best fit for each client, including Humanistic, CBT, ACT and IFS therapies to improve the client's quality of life. Brenda works with couples dealing with stress, marital issues, relationships, blended family and parenting issues. She also works with members of the LGBTQIA population who may be struggling with identity issues. She works at the Dearborn location.

Maria Rana, MA, LLP
Maria obtained her degree in Counseling Psychology from Wayne State University and has worked in the mental health field for the past five years. Maria has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families from various backgrounds. She began her work in ABA therapy working with children with autism and other developmental issues. She also has experience in conducting psychological evaluations for the court and juvenile justice system. Maria specializes in interpersonal issues, depression, anxiety, and trauma. Her treatment approach is integrative, using a variety of techniques to create a tailor-made treatment plan that best suits the client’s needs. Maria sees clients at the Dearborn office. ​

Ranine graduated from Notre Dame de Namur University with a Master's in Marriage & Family Therapy, emphasis in Art Therapy. Ranine has experience working with children and adolescents, as well as families as a whole. In her work with individuals, she is focused on PTSD, especially recovery from childhood trauma, ADHD, and navigating diverse identities. She typically combines art therapy approaches with family systems, Strengths-Based, or Narrative therapy. She currently sees clients out of the Dearborn location.

Sarah Van Horn, LMSW

Sarah is an experienced social worker who earned her undergraduate degree from Indiana University and her Master's of Social Work with a concentration in aging from Eastern Michigan University. She has more than a decade of experience working with the aging population and a thorough understanding of the impact the aging process can have on families. She believes there should not be a separation between physical and mental health but that the two are intertwined and should be treated as one. Sarah utilizes cognitive-behavioral techniques and motivational interviewing to work with you to discover and address your areas of distress. Individuals can feel confident knowing that Sarah will provide a safe and non-judgmental atmosphere as you work together on your journey towards positive mental health.

Charles Vermeulen, MS, LLP

Charles has a Master's degree in Clinical Behavioral Psychology. He has 35 years of experience helping children, adolescents, adults and couples improve their quality of life and increase their ability to cope with and thrive in the world. Charles addresses many concerns including depression, anxiety, anger, fear, trauma, grief, ADHD, OCD, adjusting to new life situations, substance use, and impulse-control problems. Charles is accepting new clients in both Dearborn and Brownstown. He is offering daytime, evening and limited weekend hours.

Alyson received her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Michigan University and is a National Certified Counselor. She enjoys working with adults and older adults with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem, life transitions, relational, and other mental health concerns. Alyson utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy with the goal of providing an empathic, supportive, and collaborative environment while exploring concerns, discovering strengths, and moving toward desired outcomes. Alexis earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oakland University, and is a
National Certified Counselor. She has experience working with adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, parental concerns, and struggles with self-esteem. Alexis has an
integrative approach including person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness and systems therapy.
She works out of the Dearborn and Ferndale locations.

Zeina Yahfoufi, MS, LLP

Zeina received her Master's degree in Clinical Health Psychology from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, as well as a Master's degree in Physiology from Wayne State School of Medicine. Her goal is to find the right approach and the right tools, comfort, and guidance to help clients cope with life’s stressors. Zeina works with individuals including teens, adolescents, and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, and other mental health concerns. She is fluent in both Arabic and English and prefers to take a holistic approach to ensure that the client’s unique background is accounted for in therapy. Zeina is passionate about helping clients find their inner strengths to reach their aspired goals and become happier and healthier versions of themselves.

Nick received his Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University. He has 10 years of experience working with adult and adolescent individuals struggling with mood, anxiety, substance use and personality disorders. He has a history of working in both inpatient and outpatient care settings, working to address clients' needs and ailments from a holistic perspective. He often uses an eclectic approach to treatment that is heavily influenced by psychodynamic psychotherapies as well as various cognitive and behavioral modalities.
